One Bag. All The Uses

I’ve noticed (as I’m sure you have) that we live in a society focused on versatility. Our phones take pictures, make reservations, send messages, pay bills, track our steps and occasionally make phone calls. Even more so, hybrid cars are becoming more popular by the day because they’re fuel efficient and can run on both electric and gas.

We’re so focused on combining things I wasn’t shocked to learn that hybrid luggage is becoming all the rage. Bags these days can fulfil a variety of roles by combining their features, and that’s why I’ve decided to include the Athalon Luggage 21 Inch Hybrid Travelers Bag on my website. Not only does it act as a duffle bag, it also combines some elements of a rolling suitcase.

Sizes and Styles

The Hybrid Traveler’s Bag comes in three sizes, 21 inches, 26 and 29 inches, and there are several different colors or patterns to choose from. Not all sizes are available in every pattern, so it might be difficult to find all of the pieces if you want to make a set. The colors range from muted, to plaid patterns and styles designed to look like graffiti.

Casual Hybrid

The Hybrid Travelers Bag is designed to be more of a casual bag, and probably won’t suit the needs of a business traveler. It definitely looks more like a gym bag, and while it does have wheels, it doesn’t have the same sleek and refined look that is often found in corporate travel suitcases.

Like Hybrid Cars, It’s a Little More Expensive

For less than $100, I don’t think it’s the cheapest duffle bag on the market, but it isn’t the most expensive either. It may be on the pricier side for a more casual duffle bag, but it’s made to sport the durability of real luggage with the versatility of a carry bag.

Pockets For Many Uses and Sizes For Every Purpose

The inside features pockets galore, including some that are elastic and large enough to fit shoes and other large necessities into. The main compartment is incredibly roomy no matter what size you buy, and even the smallest one sport’s enough room to bring several days worth of clothes. If you’re small like me, you could probably even fill it with way more clothing than you need.

The smallest size will easily fit in an overhead compartment, perfect of light travelers! It has the perks of wheels and the ease of use you get with suitcases, but it doesn’t have to be checked when you get on a plane. It also won’t take up the whole trunk if you’re headed out on a car trip.

One Slight Negative

The flexibility of this bag can actually present a problem although, this is unintentional. It can hold a lot of things which means it expands as you add more. As a result, it can become too big for the overhead compartment even though it still technically fits within the guidelines set out by airlines. It does have side snaps that help you condense the contents, but these are only helpful if you don’t have anything that could break.

Hybrid Enough for the Price?

I like the amount of storage space this bag boasts despite the fact that the actual size is not that big. I also like that as a duffle bag, the design is more refined than an average gym bag. Another plus is it has wheels so it’s easy to use when you need a suitcase and not just a duffle.
