Briggs & Riley Transcend Domestic Carry On

Pack It All From Short To Tall

If you’re like me and will do just about anything to stay out of the baggage claim area at the airport, then a good piece of carry-on luggage is a solid investment. I can’t think of anything I would like to do less than stand and watch as tons of bags that have just been thrown on to the belt move past me at a glacial pace.

If I were traveling now as much as I have in the past, it would be best to get a good carry on that could deal with not only the trauma of being put in and pulled out of the overhead compartment, but also the general wear and tear that accompanies a clumsy person.

The Briggs & Riley Transcend Domestic Carry-On Expandable Upright Bag is made to fit right inside of the overhead compartment, so it shouldn’t be necessary to check anything in if you’re using this case. This carry on is definitely on the higher end of luggage purchases so in my opinion, you should see it as an investment.

Functional, Flexible, Colorful

The carry-on comes in one size but three colors. The options include black, hunter green and crimson. It also comes with a cargo net which I think is an ideal option for storing magazines, newspapers, jackets and other stuff you frequently use during your flight trips. When not in use, just unclip and tuck it in the pocket beneath. It may be a small case but it makes a big impact on how you travel.

More Space In Your Case

The outside handleOne of the most interesting advancements the Briggs and Riley carry-on has, is the handle that rises in order to make it possible to roll the bag so it’s located outside of the main compartment. Most cases house the telescopic handle within the main part of the bag, and cost you space. The actual compartment on this one is larger because the handle is housed elsewhere.

Pack Your Suits In Your Rolling Carry On. No, really!

Garment SystemThe bag is lightweight and reduces the amount of lugging that has to be done if it’s filled up. Better yet, it features a built-in bag for storing garments like suits and dresses. This is a huge advancement and means that a second bag isn’t necessary.

Warrantee And Guarantee

I love this! Briggs and Riley offer an unlimited warranty that covers problems with the bag as long as you own it. A warranty that covers the bag so that you don’t have to worry about defects over the life of the product must mean the product is sturdy, and the business is confident enough to back it up.

The only problem with the warranty is that, while it will cover damage, there are different return centers capable of different repairs throughout the country. If you want to get it fixed locally under warranty, you may not have much luck with a repair center that’s close to home.

Worth the Investments

Although this bag is more expensive, I’m impressed with the sturdy construction and simple design. It can easily hold a lot of things when flat or expanded and it will fit into overhead compartments both ways, so you don’t have to check a bag. The only hesitation I have is the price. That being said, if it’s the last suitcase you buy for many years, I think it’s a worthwhile investment.
